On the morning of 27th February, at the ground track field of the Junior and Senior High Sections, Anqing Foreign Language School observed the grand opening of the launching ceremony for the ‘Civic Virtues Month’, which was hosted by students Qian Fang and Wu Tao from Grade 11.
To begin with, the agendas of the ceremony consisted of five sessions as follows: First of all, raise the national flag and play the national anthem. Second of all, a keynote speech entitled ‘Care For Campus to be Messengers of Civilization’ from student Fu Jiayi with Class 2, Grade 8. Third of all, student Wu Xian from Class 3, Grade 10 led all teachers and students to read aloud ‘Ten Studies of Civilization’. Fourth of all, issue certificates of merit to ‘Civilized Classes’ from last term. Fifth of all, a pep talk by Vice Principal Liu Bing.
Specifically, this grand event comprised three aspects, which were habits of health, proper courtesy in addition to law-abiding compliance.
In addition, the informative event included three phases: publicity and launch; implementation; summary and commendation, which all aimed to further carry forward the spirit of Lei Feng, optimize the campus environment, standardize students’ words and deeds, purify their mind, further strengthen the awareness of all teachers and students in terms of environmental hygiene and civility as well as reinforce students’ daily courtesy education to establish a favorable and harmonious educational environment and let the wind of civilization spread throughout Anqing Foreign Language School’s campus along with the vernal spring breeze.
